Give your photo a warm glow
Give your photo a warm glow by using Digital Scrapbook Place designer Nicole Young's tutorial using PSE6. This is Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.
There are 4 steps.
Step 1 is to pick a photo.
Step 2 is to go up to layer and click on duplicate the layer, so that you have two duplicated photos on top of each other.
Step 3 (on the top layer) go up to Filter and down to Blur, then go across to Gaussian Blur and set it to 30. It will make your photo look very blurry.
Step 4 is to turn the blend mode (look on your layer palette on the right where it says Normal, to find your blend modes ) to Overlay or Hard Light (and Nicole suggests to scroll through them to create some unique effects). I personally use Soft Light and then drop the opacity if I need to.
Step 5 is to go up to Layers again and click on Merge visible layers.
You're done!
